WE ARE IMPACT UNFILTERED, A NON-PROFIT INITIATIVE BASED IN BRUSSELS.
Impact Unfiltered was born from The School for Moral Ambition, where co-founders Joachim Verheyen and Alex Nedeltchev were part of the inaugural Tobacco-Free Future Fellowship cohort (2024-2025).
Inspired by a simple but radical idea, that a small group of thoughtful and committed citizens can change the world (because it has never happened any other way), we quit our jobs to channel our moral ambition into eradicating tobacco- and nicotine-related disease across Europe.
While tobacco kills around one EU citizen every minute and youth fall victim to engineered addiction, we are on a mission to support and mobilise public-health advocates across the continent, ensuring they have the evidence, alliances, and voice to reclaim tobacco regulation in the public interest.
Because when it comes to saving lives, playing it safe and avoiding moral ambition is the riskiest strategy of all.

Our policy recommendations rest on comprehensive research and data analysis of EU tobacco-control gaps. We examine regulatory frameworks, public-health outcomes, and implementation challenges across the 27 Member States to identify evidence-based opportunities and proven measures for strengthening tobacco policy.
Our methodology emphasises peer-reviewed sources, WHO guidelines, and comparative analysis of international best practices, while relentlessly prioritizing to target interventions that deliver maximum health gains per euro invested.

Impact Unfiltered was founded by policy experts Joachim Verheyen and Alex Nedeltchev, bringing entrepreneurial strategies and agile methodologies to EU tobacco policy and public health advocacy.
Our team combines Brussels institutional insight with evidence-based policy analysis, working closely with leading health organizations as well as key national health advocates across Europe and beyond.
